Prayers were made by my grandfather, Mahpiya Maza (Iron Cloud) in the early 1900's while fasting in the hills of Knife Chief Community in Porcupine, SD for all of his takoja (grandchildren). My grandson and granddaughter were blessed by these prayers for good health, intelligence, abundance and strong spirits. My husband, Jim Miller (Hunkpapa/Minneconjou Lakota) and I pray the same prayers for all children. The work of these beautiful nieces will add to the prayers and with great hope, we know that our nation will be revitalized and retribalized.
